Great location, less than a half-hour commute from Yampa Valley Regional Airport, and conveniently located minutes away from ski slopes, restaurants, shopping, and hot springs. Unit was spotless and nestled in quiet and picturesque setting.

A SUPERB stay with a location easily accessible to the slopes via the town's free bus that runs every 20 minutes (in the winter), or a 10 minute walk away. The ski locker was excellent to have just by the door.
The extra heat and ambiance of the fireplace were welcomed. The bathroom's own heater ensures a comfortable time, and you'll have the feeling of wrapping yourself with a heated towel right after a shower.
The only negative - and this is no one's fault - was that the soundproofing is not great. You'll hear ski boot-laden footsteps up and down the stairs in the earlier morning and later in the night. There is also some creaking audible from the unit above when you're in bed. It wasn't the worst, though, and I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again for the comfort and ultra-convenience of being so close to the slopes.
Your host will be kind, friendly, and helpful, and everything was clean and perfectly cute and cozy for 2 people.

Great location, 10-15 minute walk to the lifts (there are free private & public shuttles too), & you can ski next to the walkway half of the way back from the lifts. Only PSA is there are only 3 towels in the place… (sounded like other people in other Retretia places had the same issue) so if you want to use different towels for the hot tubs we grabbed some cheap ones from the Walmart around the corner.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway and day hikes in the area. This place was lovely! Great location, close to restaurants and stores. We were only 6 miles from our first hike of our stay. King bed was very comfortable. Definitely bring condiments, coffee filters, etc. as the place is pretty much bare when you get there. My husband did not like the spiral staircase, but there is an awesome motion sensor light that comes on at night for bathroom trips. Sleeping next to the outer stairwell, I heard a few people going up and down very early in the morning, but I am a super light sleeper so I hear everything on trips and forgot to bring my white noise machine. :) lovely place overall!

Had a very nice stay, and my only complaint would be that it takes a couple minutes for the hot water to actually get hot in the shower, but that's easily worked around, so still get 5/5. 👍

Excellent location. Shuttle accessible from the property

Awesome location. No frills but did the job.
Positives: location is super convenient-right next to the shuttle <10min from the slopes. Bathroom has 2 heat sources so you can be really warm getting ready in the morning (note hot water takes 10min to heat up in shower). Loft area is nice - the bed is very comfortable and big. The service is great and super friendly.
A few notes: place is definitely older - kitchen is super small but functional - dishwasher isn’t designed to hold many dishes. The pullout couch is really small - so 4 adults would be very cramped. Lastly, like other reviews mention - the creaking and stomping from above is loud, so bring earplugs. Also the stairs to the loft are super steep and narrow.
For the price (based on the area)- we would definitely stay again.

The unit was small but adequate for our 2 night stay. We use to own a condo in SS and was good to be back after several years. The spiral staircase up to the nice king sized bed was a little inconvenient to the bathroom on the fist floor. Floor to ceiling windows captured views from both levels. We, at age 75 made it work and would recommend. Good location.

Our original unit had issues pop up a day before our arrival but we were put up in another unit in the same location. The host went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and less stressful. We love the location as it is close to all the amenities and skiing. Thanks Retreatia.

Great place for a couple. Loved the fireplace! Beautiful views out the back (we could see fireworks on Howelsen Hill). Not too bad of a walk to lifts. Great that they had 2 big hot tubs. Parking was available close to unit. We would definitely stay here again for skiing.

This space is perfect for a couple. Clean, quiet, accessible. The high ceilings make the area feel spacious and airy. However, the upper window shade does not block light, so if you're sensitive to light while sleeping, bring an eye mask.
