Great place to stay in Steamboat. Close to downtown and the mountain but secluded for privacy. The complementary shuttle was a great accommodation.

We had a great experience staying at this property in Steamboat! We had a group of 8 and it accommodated our group very well. The house has great views, the living space is very open and the bedrooms were spacious. We enjoyed the private hot tub as well. Retreatia's shuttle service was 10/10 - it was free (we tipped heavily!) and very easy to book, almost like an Uber. The shuttle took us to & from the mountain & town multiple times and fit 8+ people along with ski gear comfortably. The shuttle was a very pleasant surprise that we found out about when we checked in!

Great home for three families, five adults and five children. Plenty of room and very comfortable. Close to ski resort. Driveway is a little hard to find. GPS takes you a little past it so keep an eye out for address sign on tree. Hot tub was perfect. Would definitely stay again.

We had an amazing stay in Steamboat at this Airbnb. It was perfect for our group size of 9 and had gorgeous views overlooking the town. The kitchen was big and worked well for cooking meals. There were a couple of minor items that could have been better such as providing a shovel since there was a lot of snow during our stay, and some of the beds were a little uncomfortable and one bed had some broken slats. Overall excellent property and I would stay here again.

We felt right at home in this place. The large open kitchen and spacious living room with the fireplace draw you in. The view is amazing and it's a super private and quiet location. Had everything we needed. Especially loved having our own hot tub. Would definitely stay here again.

This house fit 4 couples perfectly, beautiful midweek getaway for Moms 70th birthday. The house was clean, stunning views from the front porch overlooking steamboat valley. We even had a moose come through the backyard during family dinner. That was something special.

Our group included 3 families and this placed worked out great. Each adult couple had their own room while the boys had a room to themselves. The location was about a 10 minute drive to downtown. The place included everything you needed to make meals. The front deck was great for watching the sun set each night. The hot tub was a great bonus. We saw a moose in the backyard one night. I would definitely stay here again.

The only negative about this property was that for such a big house that fits a lot of people there are not many kitchen utensils that are for daily use. Hardly any wine glasses, no tupper ware for leftover dinners made at home, very few oven pans. The oven is also pretty dated and slow to heat up, the burners are too close together to cook multiple things at once. So great property but if you are planning on staying in and cooking a lot of meals just be aware to bring your own.

A beautiful place to stay with our whole family. Was close to the hill but also private. It had beautiful views. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed. The house was clean upon arrival and everything we needed was available to us. The hottub was great and it was nice to have a washer and dryer. Loved the heated floors in the morning! Instructions for the house were clear.

My friends and I came here for a weekend of skiing and this house was the cherry on top! Lots of space for all of us, clean, and the kitchen is fully stocked! Hot tub was great after a day of skiing.

Loved this property for our annual ski trip. It’s close to both the resort and downtown which makes it so convenient to enjoy both. There was plenty of room for our group of 7 to relax after a day on the slopes or continue the fun outside in the yard or hot tub. There were a few times we had to reach out to the management company but they were always very responsive. The only hiccup was that the dryer was broken. The new dryer was supposed to driver while we were there but that didn’t happen. We made the most of our by drying our gear by the fireplace. Overall a great spot and we hope to come back again soon.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was a great setup for 2 families. There were more beds even than advertised. Having the large table and bar area provided lots of room to spread out and enjoy big dinners all together. The views were amazing!

The view overlooking Steamboat Springs was amazing! We saw a bull moose, mule deer, bear, and elk come through the property. Perfectly provided our group with a Colorado experience to brag about back home. House itself offered plenty of space for 4 guys and everything we needed. There was nothing missing inside or out. Absolutely no complaints.

Fantastic view from the deck. Great space for friends and family - the kids had a blast. The adults loved the hot tub and the kitchen. Well stocked with dishes and spices. I had a bit of trouble with the AC but the host was very responsive, quickly acknowledging the message and sending someone over to help. And the issue didn’t bother my fellow guests at all, so it turned out to be a non-issue really. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic Summer rental. Spacious inside with a great deck and superior view to the west. If you need a TV in each bedroom, only the Master has a TV but there are no instructions on how to use this antique TV. No AC but the nights cool down into the 60s/50s. We did not use the hot tub. Large kitchen with decent pots, pots and utensils. We hope to rent this house next summer.

I could go on and on about Retreatia… but all I really need to say is that I absolutely could not have asked for more from a rental company.
I actually just rented another property from them the very next week.
I really don’t leave overwhelmingly positive reviews too often, but this company really blew every single one of my expectations out of the water. They will forever and always be the first place I contact for any of my vacation/rental needs!!

Great (and large) house with an unbelievable view. House was clean and property manager was responsive throughout the stay. Only negative was the grill wouldn't heat past 300 and the neighbors were under construction so there was a dumpster and porta potty in front which attracted some critters (and a few bears). We had a smaller group but the house could accommodate a fairly large group. Overall a fantastic stay. Great memories there and we would certainly rent again!

My husband and I stayed in this house with another couple, but it can accommodate a lot of people. The location is great--gorgeous views of the valley and the back of the house sits against a wooded hillside. We saw a juvenile moose while sitting in the hot tub and he showed up a couple of other times during our stay! The deck on the front of the house was a great place to have dinner and watch the sun set. The house is well stocked with everything you need although it could use some more cutting boards, especially with more guests. We all thought the beds were comfy. Had to call Retretia about a broken coffee pot and a non-functioning grill but they came right out that day and took care of everything. Lounge chairs on deck also need to be replaced. Despite a few minor hiccups we give this rental five stars. We plan to come back with family!

Overall, this was a nice place to stay. It's 3 levels with at least one bedroom on each floor. Kitchen was well stocked with what we needed - though a chef may want some better pots/pans/etc. Seating was comfortable and enough for us to spread out. Didn't use the hot tub. Washer/dryer was nice to have and there were 2 pods provided with the rental. Location was good and had a nice view of the valley/"city". Highly suggest 4 wheel drive in the winter - not sure we would have made it without 4 wheel drive due to the snow. We'd stay here again.

The greatest view in Steamboat! The three levels allowed different families to have privacy, and two "bonus" not mentioned in the details of the house allowed the kids the perfect hideaways. Beautiful home, stunning views, well equipped. We will looking to rent this home again in the future.

Our family of 9 spent Christmas in this lovely home and enjoyed every moment! Everything was perfect!! Have skied at The Boat many times in the last 45 years and this accommodation is the nicest place we have ever stayed! Unique interior design is warm and cozy (heated floors!!) Large kitchen/great room area is a wonderful place to relive a great day on the mountain. Breath taking views of the Yampa valley at sunset. Owner/manager very easy to work with and very responsive to questions. We will be back!

We had two families of four that had a vacation that we will never forget. The house was wonderful and very spacious. Everything we wanted and more was there for us to use. The three bedrooms and the loft allowed for all the kids to have their own beds, and there was plenty of room for more kids. The beds were very comfortable after our nightly hot tub cocktail hour(s). The house was in the village yet very private. The heated garage was large enough for us to fit our 2 full size trucks with plenty of room to spare. Thank you for allowing us to rent your home. It is beautiful. We will return. Especially if we can have the same weather next time. 50-60 degrees and great snow. Tyler, owner, and Missy, the locate caretaker, were very easy and helpful to work with.

The entire process was seamless and the pictures really don't do it justice. It was extremely spacious, well taken care of, and had a million dollar sunset view overlooking the city. The 2 car garage and driveway made parking easy. The location was unbeatable as we were close to town, but it still felt private and off the map.

The home was more than we ever expected. Amazing views in all directions. Due to last minute cancellations, only 7 of us stayed in this massive home, could've slept many more. The kids loved all the hideaway rooms. We had one toilet issue that was promptly addressed and fixed by the property owners/management. We are already planning next year's stay at the same house. We got two days of skiing in before the mountain closed and we opted to drive back to Texas a day early instead of fly on account of the virus scare. Had a wonderful time anyway. No complaints about the property what so ever.

We stayed here with our kids and grandkids in both the ski season, and the fall, and it’s a fantastic place to stay. High on the ski mountain, it has great views of the Steamboat valley. The home itself is a beautiful log house, with lots of room, for everyone to enjoy. Highly recommended!

Our stay at your beautiful home will be a Christmas our entire family will remember forever. The views are fantastic. Your home is warm and inviting. We definitely needed more wash clothes...our family of 9 stayed here for 8 nights...we could only find 5 wash clothes in the entire house. So we had to wash each day. We also had to purchase paper towels, trash bags and toilet paper. It would have been nice to have had more paper products furnished. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip here. As I stated above, the house is in great condition. It appears to be practically new. It is situated at the highest point in a subdivision and overlooks the entire city. It is a perfect Mountain home getaway house with all the amenities you could think of. I strongly recommend it. I imagine is just as nice in the winter. The only thing that we were caught off guard, is that there is no air-conditioner. Coming from Texas, we are used to air-conditioner and the house got a little warm in mid day from approximately noon to 5 o’clock.However as soon as the sun dip, the house cool down immediately. Just some mild adjustment. We had some minor issues with the television and Tyler called us immediately to resolve it. In addition the property manager was very helpful I strongly recommend this house and would easily rent it again. It accommodated two families of four and two grandparents. There was ample room.

We had a fantastic stay! The pictures on this site really don’t do justice to how nice of a place this is. The kitchen is large and fully stocked, the bedrooms are huge. The deck is beautiful and we spent most of our time relaxing there. Only positive things to say - I hope we can return!

We had a great time in this very Spacious & very comfortable home. Far enough away & also close enough to all that Steamboat has to offer. The views are amazing from the front deck & the back porch with the hot tub, grill, table, & umbrella are comfortable & private. The kitchen is spacious & has everything from spices to dish detergent to every kind of dish, pot, glasses you need to make many great meals. Missy, the caretaker of the home was so nice & easy to communicate with. We had a great time making memories here! Thank you;)

Enjoyed our stay here. the house is great. each floor has a bedroom and bath. all fine and nice. the open kitchen and living room with a view of the mountains was great. The house is nicely furnished but nothing fancy but very comfy. The kitchen was well supplied and we cooked several meals. Great house, nice deck and good location. What's not to like about this lovely house in beautiful Steamboat. I highly recommend this house as its very close to both skiing and town. great for families or couples.

Well stocked kitchen, plenty of room for our group of 11. Despite the description, Wifi was fine. You should definitely sit out on the deck with your coffee and watch the sun rise and sun set.

We stayed for 2 days with 9 friends over New Year's Eve and had an awesome time! The house is beautiful (and comfortable) and we had more than enough space for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook excellent meals, and we made use of the huge gas grill as well. The hot tub was definitely some of the group's favorite part; it was great to soak and look up at the stars in the relative seclusion at the back of the house. The owners were great about communicating before our stay, and there was plenty of info in the house (as well as by email) on how to use/take care of everything. Proximity to downtown and the ski hill are also great. For a large group, this house can't be beat. It was great in the Winter, but I can imagine it would be awesome any time of year.

We had an unforgettable experience. Our group chose this home as a result of the proximity to nature, the views, and beautiful outdoor spaces. Located up a winding road and perched above most homes in the valley, the property backs up to open space and views for days. We enjoyed the front deck that looks over the Steamboat Valley and grilling outdoors. Additionally, it had plenty of room for our larger group to enjoy comfortable sleeping arrangements for the entire weekend. Home has beautiful wood finishes, well equipped kitchen, privacy as there are only 2 other houses nearby, and is still located within 10-15min of downtown. Plus the weather was in the low-high 80s all weekend, so that certainly helped. Highly recommend!

Overall, the home was lovely. The hot tub was perfect. The only thing I wished for was Wifi and a well-tuned piano. Truly gorgeous home--close to everything. The mgmt is very helpful and accommodating as well.

A group of friends stayed at this beautiful Steamboat home for the weekend and had the best time! The house was perfect for a large group of 12 and didn’t feel at all crammed. The views from the windows are breathtaking and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare group meals. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back!

We loved the house - it was perfect for the 7 of us old friends. At first it was hard to find but then we realized that we needed to go up the driveway marked 2640. We cooked and ate all of our meals there - the kitchen was great! We enjoyed the hot tub and gathering on the front deck for cocktails in the evenings - what a view! The house is clean and comfortable. We plan to make this an annual trip!

This house is very large and open to the great room which was perfect for our whole group. The view was fantastic and looked out over the valley. At night we could view the stars clearly and watch the sunsets. The kitchen had all the utensils you would need to cook. Everything was very clean and had a lot of linens and pillows. The owner and manager were wonderful to deal with. We loved the house!

My family (seven adults with in-laws) rented this house in late March and we had a terrific experience. The house is not ski-in or ski-out but it sits up on the mountain near the ski area and has killer views of the town and valley. Transportation to the ski mountain is simple: drive to the free public lot, park, catch the free shuttle bus to the gondola. The house is big and beautiful with nice finishes but simply furnished and decorated so you feel at home. The kitchen is huge and well-furnished and it is easy to prepare big family meals. The owner has prepared detailed written instructions for all of those crazy things like lighting the gas fireplace, working the power blinds and ceiling fans, making the TV and stereo work, etc. There is a wonderful deck on the front or west side of the home which looks out over the valley; there is a private patio in the back of the home against the mountainside for the hottub (very clean and easy to operate) and the gas grill. Double garage is easy to use and very large. Wonderful master bedroom with large bathroom and walk in closet. There was one drawback but it turned out to be slight and that is why I explain it here because it is not a reason to not rent this home. There is no internet connection. Although this seems odd for a home this nice and given the requirements of today's world, its enhances the serenity of the home and there are several work-arounds, including coffee shops in town with free Wifi and best of all the public library at the west end of town which is a delight: free and fast Wifi, killer views from the second floor overlooking the Yampa River, nice staff, and plenty of parking. My wife and I worked at the library for a few hours each day and it was a good experience. Finally, I have rented many VRBO properties and have a range of experience with owners. The owner of this home was by far the easiest to work with and among the most responsive. I have no doubt that had there been any problem during our stay it would have been addresses quickly and effectively. We would return to this home in a heartbeat!

We had a great time staying here for a 4 night vacation, but wish we could have stayed longer. The pictures on this listing do not do the house justice. IT WILDLY EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. 5 of our 7 person party came to Steamboat to Ski while the other 2 (one adult 6 months pregnant and 1 child under 2 years old) were just there to relax. We cooked in all nights except the last and stayed up playing games, watching movies and lounging on the deck. The deck has an amazing view over steamboat that we watched fireworks from for the 100th annual Winter Carnival. One of my favorite features of this amazing house was the music system. When cooking dinners in the main dinning area, BBQing or soaking in the Hot Tub outside, we were also able to listen to music thanks to the speakers wired through the house. At first I didn't notice them but after I did it only took a minute to plug our iPad or any other music device in and enjoy anywhere in the house. Also, having a garage that fit a F150 and a Tundra comfortably was a bonus. The owner and caretaker were accommodating and responsive before during and after the rental. Steamboat received 10 inches of fresh snow on our day of departure, so we called to see if we could delay checkout. Missy and Tyler told us to have fun and not to worry about leaving the house until we got a full day of skiing in. This house is now my first option for any future Steamboat trips. With 3 couples and a child we had more than enough space if anyone wanted quiet/private time, but for our next stay I would not hesitate to bring another couple and 2 - 4 kids.

Fantastic place! Our group has stayed here several times and we just cannot get enough. Absolutely some of the best views that Steamboat has to offer - sweeping westward view of the Yampa Valley, incredible sunsets. The backyard is, literally, Routt National Forest. Total comfort. Just try to pry yourself off the leather couch facing the wall of windows at sunset. Well appointed. Gourmet kitchen. Better than described. Owner is meticulous in maintaining the property and instantly responsive. I'd tell everyone to stay here when you travel to The 'Boat, but, then you might scoop this gem up the weeks that we want....

I can't say enough about this rental property. The house was in perfect shape and had all the amenities needed and more. The owner and property managers were extremely helpful and quick to answer any questions. We had quite a bit of snow during our stay and were concerned that we may be snowed in but the managers were quick to get the snow plow on the driveway early in the morning so we could enjoy our day. During the early morning hours, a herd of Elk routinely made their way through the property nibbling on the trees in front of the large family room windows. The only suggestion I have for future renters is to enable the hotspot on your mobile phone as there is no Wi-Fi in the home, but there is a great Verizon signal. There is only one TV in the house. It is part of a nice entertainment system in the media room. If you like to watch TV in bed at night, you may need to preload some movies on the laptop or mobile device. In short, my family will rent this property again next year.

Great house, awesome location. Fit our party of 12 very comfortably. Nice, clean, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Heating system works well (it does take a little longer for the downstairs). Despite some of the documentation, there is WiFi in the house, and pretty fast internet access. Only caution I would provide is get a AWD vehicle in the winter. The drive way is a bit steep and if it snows a 2 wheel drive car will not make it up to the house. Snow plows don't come out until there is 4 inches of snow on the ground in town so there could be some delays. Overall great experience. Steamboat is our favorite place for skiing. Would love to stay in this house again in the future.

This is a well appointed comfortable rental. Everything is available including hair dryers. The kitchen is well stocked including a cork screw and coffee maker with bean grinder. The deck has a wonderful view. Unfortunately the chairs that were provided are a little worn and are not high enough to see over the railing. Also, there is not a table our there. It is a perfect place to spend the evening with drink and appetizers so it would be wonderful if there was some better furniture there. It is at the 'end of the road' so it was very quiet. Although it is only a few minutes from town, it is quite a drive up and around the roads. We went to the Saturday rodeo in Steamboat which was a great community event. Also ate at Laundry and Cafe Diva... both fabulous restaurant. The owner was extremely cooperative and helpful. Would highly recommend this rental.

We had a great stay. 5 adults and 3 kids under the age of three. More than enough room to spread out. Able to separate the kids at night so occasional screaming didn't wake everyone up. Location was ideal. Few minute drive to gondola square. Good restaurants nearby. Amenities were amazing. We have stayed at many VRBOs across the country and this was one of the best stocked houses. There would have been plenty of space for more people to stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this spacious log home. The views are gorgeous and the house really feels like a home. Radiant floor heat and plenty of cozy blankets made sure everyone was comfortable. Lots of extras to make your stay enjoyable like a few kids toys and sleds for the hill out back. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking big family meals. The one improvement I would suggest is a smart TV with an HDMI port in the main living area. We had our Chromcast along and would have loved to access our movie subscription services. The house was as marketed and even bigger! The view was incredible. It is a very steep hill and driveway so be prepared with 4 wheel drive. Private hot tub was great. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need.
