The property is spacious, a good value, and has amazing views of the valley. As others have said, the property could use a refresh, but given its price point we felt it was still a great place to stay. The on-demand shuttle ended up being a key amenity as we could easily get to and from the ski area. Our only notes are there are not separate towels for the hot tub, a few kitchen items were missing (mainly baking sheets), and the plates desperately need to be replaced. We would stay here again in the future if it is available!

This is a large, well-appointed house that can comfortably accommodate large groups. It has amazing views of the Yampa Valley. The kitchen is well stocked. My only complaints, and they are minor, is that the bedrooms on the first level are a bit cold and could really use more blankets. Some extras are provided, as are space heaters, but I think we would have been happier with even more blankets. Also there did not seem to be many extra towels to use with the (very nice) hot tub. Not were there any hooks or racks for hanging extra towels and wet suits after a trip to the hot tub. But these are minor complaints. Overall it was a great place, and I’d gladly rent it again with a large group.

Our stay at Steamboat house was great! The house has a great layout for large groups and amazing views. The kitchen is well equipped and there is room to spread out. The staff is very responsive and, in the wake of a bear rummaging around the yard, quickly came to help ensure no real damage was done!

This was perfect for the Motown Four on their annual fly fishing trip. The outside deck that faces west is a great respite after fishing all day and enjoying coffee in the morning. What a view! The kitchen is adequate to cook a gourmet meal (even with dull knives). The budget friendly pots, pans and utensils got the job done. If you need TV’s in the bedrooms, three of the rooms did not have TV’s. The Master had one but no directions on how to use it. It’s an old one with two different remotes. There is no AC but the nights cool down into the 50’s/60’s. Some of the windows can’t open or are hard to open. We did not use the outside hot tub or grille. We would leave the house around 7:00 am and return around 5:00 pm so I can’t say anything about neighborhood during that time frame. We hope to rent the Steamboat Haus next summer, it’s a great place.

Everything was wonderful the one little hiccup was immediately addressed by the Staff and an independent repairmen was there within a couple hours to repair. I was totally impressed!

Our group enjoyed our stay at Steamboat Haus. The views from the living room were excellent, and the house was spotless. The kitchen was big and had everything needed to cook large group meals. The Retreatia on-demand shuttle service made our ski days stress-free. After skiing, several people in our group took advantage of a long soak in the hot tub located on the back porch. It would have been nice to enjoy the fantastic views from the hot tub, but the back porch location was peaceful and private. The one area of the property that could use attention is the carpet. It is wrinkled throughout the carpeted areas and is a bit dingy. Besides the carpet (only located in bedrooms and the loft), this house was the cleanest rental I have encountered. Note the large bedroom on the entry-level was significantly colder than the rest of the house. The house has redient heat, and it appears not to be working in this room. We were provided a space heater, which helped, but the couple staying in this room did not feel comfortable leaving it on overnight while they slept. Something to keep in mind when you are deciding who will sleep where.

We loved the location the house and the view. We were visited by a mother bear and two cubs twice, which curtailed our hot tub use a bit. The house is well built and very quiet inside. The only negative was the grill out back is janky--but with the bears around we weren't cooking outside anyway.

Stunning view property with fantastic deck. Kitchen well appointed with everything one could need to cook for and feed a large group. Even had spices, olive oil, etc. available. Maintenance was responsive. I did alert them to an unpleasant scent in lower bedroom and outside grill only partially works - so these items need to be addressed. Otherwise, I highly recommend this property!

The greatest view in Steamboat! The three levels allowed different families to have privacy, and two "bonus" not mentioned in the details of the house allowed the kids the perfect hideaways. Beautiful home, stunning views, well equipped. We will looking to rent this home again in the future.

Our family of 9 spent Christmas in this lovely home and enjoyed every moment! Everything was perfect!! The view was so amazing, the beds were comfortable, the fireplace was beautiful, and the kitchen was perfect for cooking our Christmas meal!! We also appreciated the book with suggestions of places and things to do in the town! We enjoyed skiing and snowmobiling, as well as the shopping in town. It was also great to have quick responses when I had any issues. Thanks for making our holiday perfect!!

Excellent customer service from the time I booked the house until we checked in. It was nice having a code for the house rather than keys since there were 6 adults. Kitchen was fully stocked including spices. We enjoyed using the gas grill since it was connected directly to the house. Hot tub was clean and didn’t have an over abundance of chemicals.

Great view of Steamboat, especially at night. Very private location.

Definitely would stay again.

Beautiful house in a quiet location with a great view of downtown Steamboat. Kitchen was very well stocked including spices. The BBQ grill was connected to the house, so we were able to use it without worrying about a tank.

Customer service was excellent from the time we booked the house, through check-in.

Definitely would stay at this place again.

Steamboat Haus is a great place to stay and play. The location is great, you feel far enough removed but not too far way. The house was definitely big enough for the 10 of us. It has two "bonus" rooms that the kids loved to think were haunted. The views were amazing and the hot tube was a great amenity. We'll be back.

It was very clean and so comfortable. We had a few visitors (2 bear and a moose) which was kind of cool, but a bit scary as well. Retreatia is a great company to deal with..quick responses and always kept us up to date on our reservation.
